A color-order model of the flagship and super-standard model, M#245. ATELIER Z is a long-established Japanese brand that enjoys strong support from players across a wide range of genres, both professional and amateur. This model is the company’s signature M#245, widely known as a high-quality Japanese-made active bass guitar. It also features a backbone crafted based on the wishes of Tomohito Aoki, making it a popular choice among musicians. While based on the ’70s Fender JB, this guitar features a unique body shape designed to prevent the instrument from tipping over, the unique “Z Tuning System” low-action setting for a comfortable, moderate buzz, the powerful active sound of the Bartolini XTCT (with a mid-cut control inside the cavity), the brand’s signature heavy-duty original bridge, and a thick clear guard and pickup fence for smooth thumbing and pulling during slapping, all of which are bassist-focused features. This instrument also features the latest master tone expansion design, allowing for subtle nuances even when using passive pickups. The ash body delivers dynamic, powerful bass, a crisp, well-defined sound, and the coated one-piece maple neck delivers a fast, responsive attack. This 70s JB bass delivers the dynamic, clear sound you expect from a supple touch, making it a true player’s gear. The full-size body produces a rich vibration, while the traditional neck construction without graphite supports creates an open, resonant tone, creating a comfortable, rustic feel. These are the key features that make this model so appealing. This is a custom-made model, specifically requested by our shop. While a simple matte natural finish might seem like a good idea, we selected an open-pore finish that doesn’t clog the ash’s pores. The wood’s texture is enhanced with gold hardware accents. This model’s specifications have been updated from the previous 2-volume design to a Master Volume and Balancer design for smoother control, resulting in a Master Volume/Master Tone (Stack), Balancer, Treble, and Bass (Pull/Passive). Not only does it offer a distinctive sound that’s instantly recognizable, but the reliability of a bass made in our workshop, with its strict quality control, is also one of the reasons why so many bassists are captivated by it. Don’t miss this opportunity to own a truly authentic model that will make a statement on stage or in the recording studio.
