We have a Brazilian RW example of the Milburn shop, where this guitar is equally splendid. Hauser-ish as one would expect, it is a worthy consideration for the Hauser style of build and sound that one may be looking for in a concert guitar. The woods are as old school as it gets, straight cut, German Spruce and straight grained Blackwood. Truly beautiful woods, workmanship, just a superb guitar. Action is accessible, play is solid, fast and soulful. Musical expression at your fingertips. We cleaned her up, polished the body and frets, where she is strung up with our Savage Classical Guitar High Tension Nylon 90lb. strings. (We do not use Carbon Strings here in the shop. All of our baselines are performed with Nylon 85lb or 90lb strings). The action deviation is because of the standard canting of the quite straight neck, again, in the Hauser fashion, where the fingerboard is planed to a canted angle to allow for string clearance instead of a relief process in the actual neck. 4.1mm to 2.75mm is quite the deviation, but it works and quite well at that. Condition is excellent. There exists a minimum of honest play wear, a tiny ding in the lower bout top and a slight nail scratch upper bass bout of the top (you can actually see them in the front photos, because of the lighting and angles), where the back and sides are excellent. The wooods are dark, truly dark. I attempted to lighten up the photos of the back, but you can clearly see the deep rich dark chocolates of the wood. Photos will tell you everything that we can see. ——————- The price includes the accompanying HSC and Our Personal Accessory Package ____________________ Media Listening with high quality headphones or audio equipment is highly recommended including EQ manipulation, if possible. We record everything flat with just a touch of Reverb to relieve dryness. My goal is to record the guitar as realistically as possible. I speak in the recordings, my thoughts about the guitar (and possibly other things?). My speaking also serves to give you my first impressions and to also give you a balance of the engineering (or lack thereof) versus the sound of the guitar. I simply do not have time to engineer much of anything. Thanks. Rich MP3 Audio – 231017-2004 Robert Milburn 262 Spruce Malaysian Blackwood – beautiful sounding, playing guitar with balance, voice and power. Hauser-esque in her affect, voice and play.
