A setup was performed, helping the guitar show her true colors, strung with D’Addario Normal Tension EJ-45’s.  I found her a complete experience, a joy to play and listen to in the playing of Bach and Weiss, some of my own stuff.  I love when a guitar makes me smile and laugh.  I know I found a great one. The case is a typical Hiscox Lite Flite Pro II – their second iteration of a big, heavy duty case that is not overly heavy, by any means.  I’ve seen this case before, fitted for the neck, cushions press in all the right places, the guitar fits the case well.  I cannot recall the name, but I believe it is an English version of the TKL, fitted a bit better than said TKL The wear on the guitar is minimal.  Almost imperceptible nail marks on the top, in and around the rosette.  The superlative East Indian Rosewood is striking, straight grained, with again, minimal marking, i.e. button rash or slight rubbing.  Difficult to see except under broad daylight and close inspection. The Klaus Scheller machines, among the finest in the world, are built in that typical Scheller style where the buttons are a touch smaller, elegant and graceful with an overall smoothness of turn and accuracy which is enviable. The setup is superb, easily played, yet able to be driven with aggressive Right Hand (RH) velocity.  The guitar was noted as playing between F# and G natural, within the quarter tone range and I have confirmed this fact.  It gives it a resonance that is most desirable, allowing sustain in the unexpected places along the high E string. In a phrase, it’s just plain old fun to play! Simon has gotten away from model numbers where he now builds his own Concert Model, based on combinative features of the Hauser, Torres and slight touches of Romanillos.  The former 2 of which Simon is considered a foremost expert. Simon builds out of his studios in Dartingon, Devon, England. Please note that this guitar is eligible for International Shipping, though it is preferred to be sold within the USA or North America.  You are welcome to personally come to the gallery to pick the guitar up.  Otherwise, the guitar should be sold domestically within the USA.  The buyer assumes all responsibility once it leaves our gallery.  Thank you kindly for your understanding.  Richard __________________ Media Listening with high quality headphones or audio equipment is highly recommended including EQ manipulation, if possible. We record everything flat with just a touch of Reverb to relieve dryness. My goal is to record the guitar as realistically as is possible. I speak in the recordings, my thoughts about the guitar (and possibly other things?).  My speaking also serves to give you my first impressions and to also give you a balance of the engineering (or lack thereof) versus the sound of the guitar.  I simply do not have time to engineer much of anything.  Thanks. Rich Please note that dust is an issue of late, especially with 5 humidifiers running within my gallery space.  We do our best to wipe things down between each shot, but the dust can be pervasive as a result of the humidity issues required in this colder, dryer weather.  I also run air purifiers within the space.  It does not help that much.  I have to say this out loud as I do not edit the photos.  There is full transparency here, as always, in my discussions, photos, recordings, etc.  It is never about tricking any of you.  It is about absolute and full disclosure so that you know exactly what you are looking at any time you visit my gallery or my site. MP3 Audio  – 240124-2020 Simon Ambridge 280 Spruce EIRW – such a great guitar, clear, bold, solid in her voices with separation, balanced, colorful and expressive.  The guitar is still developing, where she is already singing with blooming basses and driven mids.  Simon is clearly a master luthier, stating the obvious.  Lovely instrument. https://www.savageclassical.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/240124-2020-Simon-Ambridge-280-Spruce-EIRW.mp3 My Solo Book of sheet music is available here if you’re interested. https://savageclassical.com/product/richard-f-sayage-solo-guitar-works-volume-1/ ——– Video __________________ Shipping: Premium HSC is included in your purchase price.
