Specs and woods are from Kevin. The guitar is finished in oil, preserving the beautiful grain and nature of the ancient Bog Oak. The Bear Claw Spruce should not be classified European Spruce but more than likely Alpine, as the figuring is rather striking in its 3D effect. Gorgeous! Kevin corrected me to say that the guitar is built with 5,000 year old Bog Oak, a new one for any of us! It looks like and sounds similar to Ebony, with a direct forceful push to the voices. An incredible guitar with voice and expression, sensitivity and drive, a classical guitar of superior class with grace and elegance. The guitar was owned for a few months by a good man, careful with his instruments. He realized he wanted a super powerful guitar, thus the return. The guitar is more than concert capable in terms of power and projection, but a German DoubleTop it is NOT! LOL More in line with a super sweet Torres guitar, it is in exceptional condition, actually showroom condition. Not an issue that I can find on the guitar. Kevin is listed among the top luthiers in the UK and quite frankly, in the world of guitar luthiers, for good reason. His guitars are elegant, with workmanship of the highest artisan level, and musical expression to leave one breathless. Note the lack of Rosewood in the guitar. Very smart. No International restrictions on this guitar, no CITES needed.
