The guitar is another in an apparent line of absolutely gorgeous instruments by Kim. Her voice is a match. She is big sounding, very gutty, the woodiness of the guitar is very apparent. Play is easily accessible, action and angles excellent. She also has a truss rod for resetting and or minor setup on the fly. The armrest is also a welcome bonus, as she is very comfortable. The guitar is drop dead gorgeous, btw. I like the punch and power from this guitar. She is not as bright as you would imagine, warmth and clarity with the ability to truly warm things up with RH positioning. Clearly voiced, I was enjoying this guitar a lot, didn’t want to put it down. Nice. She is dated 2021, has no Rosewood whatsoever, so CITES is not an issue. Smart man who builds a superior guitar. Beautifully sharp all around. Armrest on the Alpine Spruce top, gorgeous BirdsEye Maple figuring, Klaus Scheller machines, fitted Karura case in a monster guitar! Uh, OK?! LOL Simply Amazing!! The guitar is clearly pre-owned, but it does not look that way at all. The previous owner is a detail-oriented and meticulous man, such as myself. Much respect. I can find nothing of any note to report. The guitar is pristine as far as I can see given detailed inner and outer inspection. Kim says, “I have developed my own designs based on the ‘Australian School’ of guitar making. The guitar I have to offer you is a lattice-braced, arched back classical guitar, which has superb projection, clarity and sustain. Combining a full and rich tone, with bright trebles and warm basses.” Wholeheartedly agree, Kim’s guitar is very warm and lyrical, but separation of voice is readily apparent. Kim builds in a small workshop in Blue Mountains, west of Sydney, Australia, creating a limited number of high quality guitars per year. The guitar just arrived. Wow!
