Action 3.8mm to 3.2mm at low E and high E 12th fret unfretted CITES Not required, read link to the left 2024 Tim Harris #56 Spruce DT Madagascar RW Comments This is a superb guitar, elevated Fingerboard, Armrest, Truss Rod, with Western Red Cedar (Double Top – DT with a Spruce underside) and Imbuya (sometimes spelled Imbuia). Punchy, round sounding, colorful, easily played. The guitar is also ported with a magnetic cover, if you so wish. The armrest is supremely comfortable, while the truss rod makes on the fly adjustments a breeze. Guitar is completely French Polished with traditional shellac. Brand new from Tim, we both decided it was time we started working together. I am extraordinarily pleased. Tim builds his classical guitars out of his workshop in Ridgefield, WA – an incredibly nice and most professional man and builder. Imbuya is native to Brazil; a beautiful species that has rich colors ranging from green, yellow, and tan to dark brown. Its scientific name is Ocotea porosa. The wood evidences a spicy aromatic smell when the wood is milled. Imbuya works and glues well and takes a nice finish with a natural luster. Occasionally there are logs with exceptional figuring. Imbuya boasts beautiful contrast and unique patterns! It can also be referred to as Brazilian Walnut though it is not Walnut. ___________ Media Listening with high quality headphones or audio equipment is highly recommended including EQ manipulation, if possible. We record everything flat with just a touch of Reverb to relieve dryness. My goal is to record the guitar as realistically as is possible. I speak in the recordings, my thoughts about the guitar (and possibly other things?). My speaking also serves to give you my first impressions and to also give you a balance of the engineering (or lack thereof) versus the sound of the guitar.
