The guitar is quite active, bold, forceful and clear in all registers. I sat with her for a touch today, taken aback by the power and clarity of the Spruce/Maple combo in this guitar that Tom built. Super clean voices, powerful in the mids and lows, easily accessible due to a near perfect setup. The Birds Eye Maple is simply gorgeous, btw. Usually a bit of lighter, thinner sound from Maple, no ma’am, this is a full-bodied clear, warm sound with a lovely tone and touch. Condition is Excellent with low and honest play wear. Nothing of true note, where photos are enhanced so you can see anything visible. There is a small string ding behind the bridge, G string, where this is always avoidable. Tie a darn knot in your trebles and tuck them under the string tie (12 hole tie block or heck, even a 6 hole tie block). The string can only snap at the saddle, straight up to the neck. No ding, nothing? Why, why why? LOL Other than that, she is near perfect. Great guitar. ____________ Media Listening with high quality headphones or audio equipment is highly recommended including EQ manipulation, if possible. We record everything flat with just a touch of Reverb to relieve dryness. My goal is to record the guitar as realistically as possible. I speak in the recordings, my thoughts about the guitar (and possibly other things?). My speaking also serves to give you my first impressions and to also give you a balance of the engineering (or lack thereof) versus the sound of the guitar. I simply do not have time to engineer much of anything. Thanks. Rich MP3 Audio – 250413-2015 Tom Malapanis 64 Spruce Maple – this is an incredible guitar, one of the best Maples I have ever played. More powerful than you (or I) might have guessed. Not surprised, really, but then again, a bit surprised. Tom was a superb builder, rather underrated, in my not so humble opinion. This is back a few years ago. I have one of Angel’s guitars here from Tom as well. Angel is such a sweet man, laid back and so very good at what he does. ___________ Shipping: Premium Single Arch Top or Double Arch HSC is included in your purchase price.
